Saturday Night Life

I was supposed to go out tonight. Instead, Iโm staying home and spending some quality time with my stereo.
Friends are playing cards, but I find poker so tedious, and it takes forever to be over. By hour three, Iโm making crazy bets and folding on great hands, trying to lose as fast as possible so I can leave the table and go do anything else. I donโt think Iโve ever come away from an evening of gambling feeling any closer or more connected to anyone, either. The game dominates the conversation. I canโt bear it.
I threw together a five-and-a-half-hour playlist on Tidal real quick. Next, Iโm going to drink a gigantic beer and listen to music in a dimly lit room until I fall asleep on the sofa.
