Sunshine and Thunderstorms

Raisins may be the best part of a cake; but a bag of raisins is not better than a cake.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย โLudwig Wittgenstein, Culture and Value
Today is a beautiful summer day, provided we ignore the bit about it being a month too early for summer and 11โ above average for the time of year. I spent the morning into the afternoon walking around the neighborhood, pausing now and again to read a book in the park. I managed to finish Culture and Value by Ludwig Wittgenstein. On the whole, I found the book mercifully short, with many moments of sparkling brilliance scattered throughout a tedium.
Famished from long walks and sunshine, I made an early dinner of far too much Neapolitan pizza.1 Now the carbs and sodium have kicked in, and Iโm doing my best not to fall asleep, though admittedly making zero effort to get up off the sofa. Scattered thunderstorms are forecast for the area in a couple of hours, leaving an 11โ drop behind them. After last nightโs heat and humidity, the opportunities for good sleeping weather are downright titillating as dark clouds roll in overhead.
PS Happy anniversary to my Fujifilm X100V!

Technically, I ordered an early dinner of too much takeout Neapolitan pizza. And a Caesar salad. One canโt have too much salad, or so I pretend. โฉ
