A Walk in the Rain

This morning, I went on a three-hour photowalk along the river in the drizzle and rain. I love to be out in the rain, all the better if it’s cold too. It wasn’t cold today, but it wasn’t hot either, which is a nice change. I saw some Canada geese, a great many ducks, a hawk trying to catch a kingfisher,1 half a dozen cardinals in the same bush together,2 and an armada of forty-five cormorants. I didn’t take many pictures, but the seasonal migrations are underway, so I expect to have something soon.

Footnotes

  1. Good luck with that, pal. Kingfishers are very fast. ↩

  2. I’ve never seen that many in one group before. ↩
