I Don’t Miss It Already

I officially no longer live in The Big Philthy. I handed over the keys to my Spruce Street apartment yesterday morning. The lease has been executed.
I ordered a new bicycle later that day. It somehow arrived this morning.1 I’ve been too busy with work and organizing the new apartment to put a bike together, but the sky has been raining heavily with thunder and lightning anyway, so there’s no rush.2
I’m done rearranging the furniture for a while.3 A seemingly infinite number of odds and ends are still scattered about the house, waiting to be put away, but I don’t know exactly where away is yet. In the meantime, the basement patiently awaits conversion to an art studio. I’m pretty sure the new place will be presentable enough for company come Sunday morning.4

By which I mean FedEx somehow got it here overnight without my even asking (or paying extra). ↩

The basement remained dry throughout the deluge; a good sign. ↩

I’ve decided to stow the television away in the long-deep closet indefinitely. I seldom watch it, so it’s mostly just a big ugly black rectangle taking up too much space in the living room to me. ↩
