A Timely Bit of Insight
I opened my meditation app only to be met with a notice of updated privacy policy. On a lark, I decided to actually read the wall of boilerplate.
It’s the normal stuff for data collection: You hereby grant us the right to track everything about you. And the standard stuff for sharing: You hereby grant us the right to share everything we know about you with whomever we see fit to further our own ends into perpetuity.
I decided I didn’t need a meditation app, updated my personal privacy policy to go f’yourself, canceled my annual subscription, and deleted the abomination.
