Early afternoon already. Icicles crashing down from the eaves. Sunny, but cold. I’m staying indoors. A roast in the oven for company. Maybe a dram or two of scotch in a bit. I’m trying to make the day pass slowly.
I spent the weekend traveling to and from my grandmother’s viewing. She was ninety-six. Can you imagine being in this world for nearly a century? I wouldn’t wish it on myself. There is no peace here.
