Winter Passport

It was -3ºC this morning as I headed outside in search of coffee. Fortunately, things warmed up a bit for my lunchtime walk uptown to buy printer paper. I need to make copies of my identifying documents this evening because I have an appointment to apply for a passport in the morning. I expect the change in administration to be fairly tumultuous. I’m hoping to update my travel papers while things are still running relatively smoothly. Unfortunately, my old passport expired so long ago that it doesn’t qualify for renewal at this point, and I have to start over.

I have only three goals for the coming year, and one of them is to travel. I’m heading into my second year working for an airline, a job that offers free and discounted flights to destinations all around the globe, and, thus far, I haven’t ventured any further than Orlando, and even that was only for my initial job orientation. I’m thinking of visiting Dublin, Ireland, soon. Or maybe London. Perhaps the Scottish countryside. All of them? I’m not sure yet, but I’ll need a passport to visit any of them.
