Captain’s log, stardate: Thursday already, is it?
The deep-freeze continues. I haven’t been getting outside as much as I like. I don’t mind the cold, but it’s hard to get motivated for a long photo walk in -6ºC weather and for sure nobody is coming with me. I’ve asked. It’s supposed to warm up over the next few days, comparatively speaking. It will still be cold, but by Sunday, at least some part of the day will be above zero. In the meantime, I’ve been playing around with Stable Diffusion running on my laptop. I enjoy feeding it sparse prompts and seeing what lives in the latent spaces.
Meanwhile, mega-dosing vitamin D is going well. My mood remains elevated and youthful. It’s possible my stomach may be adapting. It’s hard to be sure. I’m still having minor digestive issues, but they are not so bad, and I’ve been eating lots of canned fish lately. My monthly Fishwife order arrived yesterday. I have a subscription. Over the last two days, I’ve devoured more tins of smoked trout than a person should. Canned fish is a challenge for my stomach at the best of times, but I love it.1
