Hot Red Wine

I had a lot of yard work to get started on when I woke up this morning. I wanted to get it all dealt with and done before tomorrow’s rains, but I haven’t made any progress whatsoever. I was up late last night visiting family, and today is overcast and cold, so I don’t have it in me to do anything much.

I’ve spent most of the day braising a pot roast and staring at the internet. I’m always surprised at how the dumbest people you can find seem to have the most to say about any given topic. That’s the ol’ Dunning-Kruger for you, I guess.

Now I’m putting off a nap. You heard me. I’m procrastinating … from … taking … a … NAP!

I got a lot done yesterday, so today’s laziness is okay, I guess. The problem with such a listlessly gray day is that the downtime isn’t particularly enjoyable or even relaxing. It’s just blah. Could it be possible that I’m bored? I wouldn’t like that at all.
