Replica Written Down the Side

Last night, I stayed up well past my bedtime, walking around the city, taking pictures in the pouring rain for roughly four hours. My phone’s step counter claims I covered 12.1 miles yesterday! I loved it. The city was a little quiet, though—probably because of all the pouring rain and fiery catastrophes.1
Today, I’m worn out, stiff, and sore. I love that, too. I managed another photowalk this morning for maybe an hour or two, but I’m bushed, the cold weather has returned, and my sofa beckoned.
On the way home, I came upon two men arguing in the street. One of them decided to pull a handgun on the other, which didn’t go over well at all because it was only a replica. Fortunately, he was a pretty fast runner because the other fella pulled a very real, very large, Bowie-style knife and chased him down the street, promising to slice him up the whole while.2
I’m home now, safe and sound, waiting on a grocery delivery as I work up the courage to fold the laundry I put off last night. After that, I plan to make myself a nice dinner and then maybe watch Snatched later this evening—on the sofa, under a blanket, with coffee ice cream.
