Decisions, Derisions

Much to my surprise, it’s raining in Philadelphia. A proper rain at that. I went out to take pictures a bit ago, but I didn’t stay out long. Uptown was empty, I wasn’t getting any good shots, and my stomach was a little upset about something I ate, so I headed back home. On the way, I grabbed a couple of beers from the bottle shop on 10Th. The kid working the register looked very much a lot like Darby Crash. Naturally, I don’t tell him I think so. I’m sure he’s never even heard of the Germs. Although, he’s got the look, and he’s got the haircut, and he’s wearing a collar. Maybe he’s seen the movie a couple of times.1 Or perhaps The Matrix is running out of ideas. I don’t know. The more important question is, now that my stomach has settled down, should I go back out into the streets to take photographs or call it a day, stay in, and listen to music while I fold laundry? The beer and I agree, let’s go out!2
Addendum: I walked around town in the pouring rain for at least three hours! My phone says I got in over 12 miles today. The bus driver stopped the whole bus to say hello to me on the street. I never take the bus, but apparently the drivers know me as the guy who’s always taking pictures. A little while later, I met the Commander of SEPTA outside of University Hospital. I think he was actually a violent mentally ill homeless person, but I didn’t press the point. Good night.
